Mosaics
While living in Australia from 1996-2000 I worked with mosaics. Inspired by the pretty off-cuts from my partner’s tiling business and beautiful old ceramic tiles from old kitchens we had to demolish, I attended a class in Sydney to learn how make mosaics and created my first glass mosaic the “coffee cup”. After that many more mosaics followed until I created a large mural “aquarium” for the entrance of the private residence of the architect of the Sydney aquarium. It was a good excuse to visit the aquarium many times, I loved it.
