Auction for trees and spirituality – painting to benefit the causes I am most passionate about

I have been so saddened about all the trees going up in flames in the millions around the globe right now. And, it has made me feel inadequate trying to even plant 2020 trees as I had promised for the year 2020. I know this is only part of the solution until we effectively stop fossil fuel but I am determined to do what I can do.

My paintings have given hope, inspiration and joy to many people and my hope is that they will be able to benefit the causes I am most passionate about. So, the idea came to me to auction my paintings to get the most impact.

As some of you might know, my second passion besides art and trees, is Spirituality; in particular, the monistic teachings of Kashmir Shaivism. In its all-inclusive approach, it has been a saving grace at a time of divisions. I have been working with the Universal Shaiva Fellowship for 20 years, and during the lockdown we have been offering free Sangha classes to those interested finding meaning and calm during these trying times.

And, so I thought why don’t I auction off my paintings for both causes? Through this joint venture, I am offering my paintings and the proceeds to benefit, half and half, the two causes I am most passionate about. The money raised will be distributed evenly, half to OneTreePlanted and the other half to the Universal Shaiva Fellowship.

You can support in any of these ways:

1.    Make a bid on one or more of the paintings to support the causes.

2.    Donate to the OneTreePlanted organization directly if you do not wish to support the art or spiritual cause.

3.    Donate to the Universal Shaiva Fellowship directly if you do not wish to plant trees or own a painting.

4.    Share with your friends, who you feel might be interested in art, tree planting or spirituality.

5.    Share any of the above links on the social media of your choice to support the causes.
