Birthday girl, illustration for a children book

After a big gap of no posts, here is (so far) the last illustration in the series for the children book, actually the second version or even third… I kept making changes. Starting with a collage from three photos to ge the composition and adding the background, and then my friend was asking if I could apply the “cartoon software” also to the background (?) not realizing that I was doing it all by hand with wacom tablet and pen in photoshop and I kind of like the contrast of “cartoon” and photo. What do you think?

This is from a rather sweet story about a girl that invited so many friends to her first ever birthday party and no one showed up, and then Swamiji made it all very special.
