Grateful!
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Not sure where some paintings are coming from
or going to…
but grateful for them nonetheless…
your painting already looks wonderful, … the perfection within imperfection that takes us into the nurturing realm where we simply look forward to the unknown to unfold …
Thank you for your comment, Eco, you are saying that so nicely and it’s so true but it isn’t always easy is it? It takes lots of patience and humbleness, lots!
Beautiful blog, Claudia! For all outstanding paintings and poems… among other interesting things! LG, mjf
Thank you for taking the time and having a look, Mario, glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful Xmas.
