Let the inner life grow… illustrations for a children book

This poem is not part of the story but it is so befitting for what the story is about that I couldn’t resist quoting it 🙂 and could not leave out this music that I was listening to while putting the finishing touches on. So soothing and meditative. Now there is one more illustration to go…

Then there may be some editing to be done because the format is going to be A4 and some of the illustrations would fit nicer into the full page. Why didn’t I think about this before?

As much fun as working in Photoshop and sketching and thinking about something fitting the story has been, and I was just starting to get better at handling the wacom pen and finding ever more interesting painting tools, I am already longing for real paint and brushes and perhaps since it was so much fun to use all those patterns its time again for some collages and textures… but first things first.
