“Lives big questions”
Finally got around watching this interview of Rainn Wilson on the Oprah Soul series. He noticed when talking with young people that there is a great under-explored “kind of” believe in god. And even for grown ups it is still odd to be asking “lives big questions”. He is all for “individual investigation of truth” versa the doctrine of religion. And says that “individual has the obligation to find the truth for themselves.”
He grew up with the Bahai faith, which is embracing all paths as valid paths to god, and says, “our highest calling as human being is that of service.” Out of his own spiritual journey and experience as an actor and growing up with the Bahai faith he found his call to service in creating the website SoulPancake.com, to “explore their own spirituality and creativity through art, music, photography, social networking, thoughtful discussion and more.”
And he goes on saying that there is no difference between being creative and being spiritual. In fact the Bahai believe that “being creative and being a creator is the ultimate testament to the big creator, god. The making of art is no different than prayer.”
