Preparations
We are in the middle of preparations for our annual Celebration in honor of our spiritual master. We have one in May and another in September or October (depending on the moon date), this one needs more preparations since we are performing a fire ceremony (in the garden!). Also we are hosting a few days of retreat afterwards. This time the focus was practice. It was nice to see everyone very engaged instead of falling asleep on the textbooks. 😉
Haven’t been painting much but enjoyed my first figure drawing class in college. Went really well, I only had a small pad but it was all right for a start, kept painting over the edges and filling the pages completely. Drawing with charcoal and smudging it is fun. Still very stiff in my hand but it feels good to practice.
A friend gave me his keyboard because I love playing the piano (although I never learned it). Now I can play around with it to my hearts content with my headphones on, not disturbing anyone, and even record it with garage band. Aren’t computers magic?
