“The broken ones are My darlings – never give up!”
This is the promise, they say when you remember God, when you don’t give up hope, when you remain “broken” instead of fixing it all…
Let sorrowful longing dwell in your heart, never give up, never losing hope. The Beloved says, “The broken ones are My darlings.” Crush your heart, be broken! ~Shaikh Abu Saeed Abil Kheir

And what does it mean to remember…
“Bija (lit. seed) means sauh (oneness of i.e. knower, knowledge, known, or Individual, God, Universe, or supreme reality).
When that sauh mantra is remembered, the exposition of remembering is the unification of present and past, when present is dissolved in the past then it is remembrance. When there is only present, then it is meditation (dhyana) when past and present are united, that is remembering. So you must remember Lord, you must not meditate on Lord. It is why he has put, instead of putting meditation, he has put remembrance, because remembrance will unite present with past.
And this bija, is without beginning and without end. Because, when there is beginning and end then that bija is not eternal and hence it is not worth being worshipped. You must worship that bija which has neither beginning nor end. And this bija must be contemplated in the center of heart, in the center of the lotus of the heart. And this bija must be contemplated always in the form of somamshu, soma means the intensity of ecstasy and amshu means the flame of that ecstasy, the intensity of the flame of ecstasy.”
