the fabric of life… (death)
new painting, with details…
Is it the fading tulips on the table (love it) or the general mood of retreating and de-cluttering, of letting go and getting back to the basics, who knows. It is a re-acurring theme in my life, that of death. As my favorite quote: “death is always on your heels” (Swami Lakshmanjoo) reminds me just to keep that in mind to cherish our lives more and make the best out of it.
Or as Rumi puts it…
Go die, oh Sire, before thy death,
So that thou wilt not suffer the pain of dying.
Die the kind of death which is entrance into light,
Not the death which signifies entrance into the grave.
