this side and that side…

It’s been a while… and the current painting is sure taking it’s time… growing and evolving…
Originally they were two…

and who knows why I had the grandiose idea that they should be together but I could see those figures emerging and went ahead, little did I know where that would take me…

because it occurred to me that there is the negative cut out that needed to be incorporated side by side, and then the choice of how they would best fit together… this side and that side…

and there it is glued together, so far so good…
painting in the only place that it fits, the floor. I added some details with the aid of the laptop to see how it looks like…

but realized quickly that I need to mount it on something… and since I had been working on Styrofoam before it seemed a good choice, little did I know how different the different papers would react to the gluing and it became a big challenge to get them to adhere properly.

But now I am happy painting again and it will take a while to finish, here are some details so far… lots more to do… the hand digressed — we’ll work on that…

this will take some time but I wanted to give a little sneak peak so far…
