What’s been hatching in my studio…
It all started with a piece of Styrofoam sticking out of a recycling bin (together with a wooden crate, which I used to paint another painting, “Offereing“), and then I kept looking at the styrofoam piece with a pretty intriguing cut-out, like it once had an instrument encased in it, perhaps a saxophone…
and went ahead to add some paint and add more structure to it…
and eventually cut off the piece that captured my imagination…
Can you see the screaming head in it already? Maybe its just me 🙂
You probably already saw the final painting.
The second piece took on a life of its own…
and eventually developed into a whole other direction
while I was playing with some of the material that i had collected…
and some drawings…
and eventually it all seems to add up…
and then I got lost in lines… 🙂
and more lines…
still a lot more to do to bring out the butterfly that is emerging there 🙂
